COVID-19 Vaccination Sign-Up at Publix for Ages 65+ and Healthcare Workers with Direct Patient Contact

Vaccine News:

Starting Wednesday, January 20 after 6:00 a.m., eligible customers can access COVID-19 vaccine appointment availability beginning Thursday, January 21 at publix.com/covid-vaccine/florida.

Vaccination appointments are scheduled online only. Appointments cannot be made by calling Publix or the Publix Pharmacy.

The following persons are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Florida, by appointment only:

·    healthcare personnel with direct patient contact,

·    residents and staff of long term care facilities, and

·    adults aged 65 years and older.

The registration page will ask for your email/phone/address, basic health information such as allergies, emergency contact information, and Medicare ID # if applicable. Having this information ready to go will increase your chances of filling out the form in time to receive an appointment.

Healthcare personnel with direct patient contact will be asked to provide identification indicating they are healthcare staff such as badge or paystub.

Vaccine Resources:

Follow the DOH-Collier Eventbrite page for new appointment opportunities for the vaccine through the Department of Health. DOH-Collier Vaccine FAQs

Ongoing vaccine information will be posted on our Facebook group pages: Physicians | Practice Administrators/Office Staff.

We encourage physician practices to register to have the vaccine in their offices when it comes to that time, whether simply for yourselves and your staff, or also for patients and/or colleagues. Read the FMA’s guide for more details.
