COVID-19 UPDATE FROM DR. JONES – 12/30/2020

Dear Patient:

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy New Year and give you my best for what I hope will be a much better year to come!

Vaccines: Vaccination started on 12/14/2020 and over 4 million people have received a vaccine. Locally, the vaccine is becoming more available, please see below:

The Florida Department of Health in Collier County (DOH-Collier) has received the COVID-19 vaccine. Note: There will be a limited amount of vaccine distributed per day per site. Collier County will continue to receive the vaccine in the following weeks.

COVID-19 vaccine distribution will begin to take place on January 3, 2021. COVID-19 testing has been cancelled for all sites with the exception of Thursday, January 7, 2020 at North Collier Regional Park Soccer Fields from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine will be made via Eventbrite (not first come, first served as previously reported). Registration links

We have applied for vaccine at the office but do not know when we will receive it. Both vaccines that have been approved are safe and efficacious, so, I recommend that you get the first that is available to you. Please also look at the attached flyer to help you get registered for a vaccine.
