Dr. Jones is a native of Kingston, Jamaica. He became an American citizen in 1984. He attended Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, graduating Suma Cum Laude, earning a B.S. Degree with Honors. He attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine Residency at BayFront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he was awarded the Charles Aucreman Art of Medicine Award. Dr. Jones moved to Naples to open his practice in 1990 and in 1997 was a founder of Anchor Health Centers, serving as its president from 1997 through 2002. Currently he is serving his second term as Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at NCH Healthcare System. He is very active in community affairs having served as president of the North Naples and Sunset Rotary Clubs. He has been a member of numerous boards including the Neighborhood Health Clinic, the Naples chapter of the American Heart Association and Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida.

The Jones Family

Dr. Jones mother instilled in him a strong sense of compassion and responsibility. His father taught him to “always do the best you can with the opportunity that comes your way.” His family comes first and his time off is spent with his wife Susan and his children Stephanie, Andrew and Nathan. A fourth child, Juno, joined the family at 12 years old. They play tennis, fish, go boating and travel. Dr. Jones is the team physician for the Naples Gators football team and provides free physicals for the players, other athletes and the cheerleaders. “He’s a great dad!” – Andrew Dr. Jones is never too busy to help when and where needed. He and several members of the Rotary Club assisted in creating the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf in Jamaica, spending time there to help build a village for these often overlooked children and adults. He also helped raise money for an asthma clinic there. And here in Naples, the Junior Achievement honored him for his leadership in the community. He was recognized as a Man of Distinction by N Magazine.
